You hear about avocado being a good fat. But keep in mind it’s an Omega 6 fat, not an Omega 3. We lack the Omega 3 in our diet. Most of us don’t get enough Omega 3. You’re looking to balance those two fats out equally. Please read about Omega 6/3 ratios on the Favorite Links page. So if you’re eating an avocado a day, that’s a lot. Balance is the key. Look for sources of Omega 3. Salmon, sardines, halibut, and tuna are the most natural sources for a paleo diet. Avocado is delicious and a step in the right direction but don’t go overboard. Continue to eat your leafy greens and root vegetables.
