It’s Not Just For Dinner Anymore!

It’s that time of year!  The holiday season (yes, only 88 shopping days until Christmas) is upon us.  Please start programming yourself now, starting with, no Halloween candy!  We’ll discuss options at a future date.  Thanksgiving is a very paleo time of year.  You won’t miss the stuffing when you taste the alternatives, and, last year, I made a delicious pumpkin pie without milk and sugar.  I can’t wait to share it with you.  Turkey is in full swing!  It’s an excellent, lean protein source and prices are dropping, and should stay low through January.  Take advantage of that and start incorporating it into your meals, including breakfast.  This morning, a simple turkey breast tender, arugula, parsnips, and an omega 3 fried egg.  This is a very simple dish to prepare.  A hot pan, olive oil, and a turkey breast tender, cook on one side until you see the meat turn white half way through, then flip.  Boil water for your sliced parsnips and cook for 5 minutes.  Cook your eggs the way you like them, or skip it if you prefer.  Add an handful of arugula with fresh lemon for a peppery, acidic bite between bites.  This dish is packed with protein, vitamins, minerals and will be a great start to your day!
