Mix and Match

You’ve seen a lot of my food choices:  eggs, chicken, turkey, beef, shrimp, fish, spinach, arugula, okra, squash, beets, parsnips.  Now it is time to mix and match.  Try different combinations.  Most of my meals have less than 5 ingredients.  This morning, turkey breast tenders – sliced, okra – diced, garlic – minced, olive oil.  Hot pan, olive oil, okra first – turn, add turkey – turn, add garlic, finish.  This is literally a 5-7 minute dish start to finish.  Okra is a great Vitamin K and C food and Vitamin K is associated with bone health.  So if you’re thinking milk gives you strong bones, there are many other foods that contribute to bone health.  Eat vegetables!
